What is a step gap?
Your step gap is the difference between your daily step goal and the steps you have already taken today. If your goal is 5,000 and you have walked 3,200, your gap is 1,800 steps. StrideHeist turns that exact number into a mission.
How does StrideHeist count my steps?
Steps come from Apple Health on your iPhone. StrideHeist reads your step count with your permission and validates mission results against it. It does not invent numbers and it does not celebrate results the data cannot confirm.
Do I have to follow the exact route back?
No. The outward route takes you through your checkpoints. The return path shown on the map is guidance, not a requirement. Take any route back to the extraction point and your steps still count.
What is an operative codename?
Every operative receives a generated codename like VIPER-5543 or CIPHER-1497 when they join. It is your identity on mission reports and rank records.

What data does StrideHeist collect?
